NICK BALL returns to the ring on Saturday night for the first defence of his WBA featherweight title.
The pint-sized pugilist will face American Ronny Rios at the M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool, in front of his home crowd for the first time in more than four years.
Nick Ball won the title in Saudi Arabia in June with a brilliant performance against Raymond Ford[/caption]The 5ft 2in Ball has had his last two fights in Saudi Arabia, the first a controversial draw with Rey Vargas before finally getting his hand on a title belt against the previously unbeaten Raymond Ford in June.
It will be Ball’s third title fight of 2024 and his first defence of his world title in front of a sold out arena.
