The Spectrum: Moreno's abortion comments; charges against Trump, Vance
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- This week on The Spectrum:
- Republican Senate candidate Bernie Moreno facing widespread backlash this week over his comments about women and abortion access.
“Especially for women that are, like, past 50,” Moreno said during a fundraiser. “I’m thinking to myself, ‘I don’t think that’s an issue for you.’”
Why Democrats said the issue is about more than reproductive rights.
- Citizen charges have been filed against Donald Trump and JD Vance after they amplified unfounded rumors about Haitian immigrants in Springfield.
"We have a patriotic duty to ensure that the rule of law and accountability are applied to Donald Trump and JD Vance the same way they would be to anybody else,” Subodh Chandra, the lead attorney representing the Haitian Bridge Alliance, said.

- A new bill at the Ohio Statehouse would strip funding from so-called sanctuary cities.
“Open border policies make every single state in the union a border state,” Ohio Rep. Josh Williams (R-Sylvania) said.
