Columbus Mac and Cheese Festival returns this week
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The Columbus Mac and Cheese Festival will make its return this week, allowing attendees to sample food from local restaurants while supporting a good cause.
The seventh annual event will feature mac and cheese creations for guests, live entertainment, kids’ activities and giveaways. It will take place at The Yard at Easton Town Center, which is located north of Macy’s and east of Nordstrom, on Friday from 4 to 7:30 p.m.
The festival benefits the Adolescent and Young Adults Cancer Program at the Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center. Last year’s festival raised more than $63,593 for the program, according to the shopping center.
Eateries serving up mac and cheese samples include 36 Catering, Chuy’s, Degrees Restaurant at Columbus State, The Berwick Manor Catering, Dos Hermanos, Dubb’s Slappin Mac, Forbidden Root, James Mobile Education Kitchen, Kay’s Soul Food Kitchen, Mitchell’s Ocean Club, Ritzy’s, Rusty Bucket Easton, Slurping Turtle, Sweet Carrot, Way Down Yonder and World of Beer.
General admission tickets for those 13 and older cost $30, tickets for those aged 3 to 12 cost $10, VIP tickets that include additional food options and complimentary alcoholic beverages cost $125, and a family pack including tickets for two adults and two children costs $70.
