Topeka woman seriously injured after I-70 crash
WABAUNSEE COUNTY (KSNT) - A 64-year-old Topeka woman was seriously injured after a crash on I-70 on Sunday.
At 7:34 p.m., the 61-year-old woman's 2011 Honda CR-V was disabled with no power and was partially in the road. An 18-year-old man from Chester, NE was driving a Ford Fusion east on I-70 and didn't see the disabled vehicle. The 18-year-old crashed into the Honda CR-V, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log.
The 64-year-old was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The 18-year-old had suspected minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to the KHP.
