Emmerdale viewers predict major character death as John Sugden’s big secret is revealed
EMMERDALE fans are on high alert as they speculate that a major character could be heading toward a deadly end, thanks to the mysterious John Sugden.
Viewers have begun to suspect that John may be hiding more than he’s letting on, and some are even predicting a sinister twist.
The ITV soap received a shake up when John (Oliver Farnworth) made his dramatic entrance in August as the long-lost son of Jack Sugden.
His arrival has already sent shockwaves through the village, especially after his unexpected connection with Aaron Dingle.
Aaron was left stunned to discover that he had unwittingly been sleeping with the brother of his ex husband, Robert Sugden.
Victoria Sugden was also shocked to find out she had another brother she’d never heard of.
Despite the initial surprise, Victoria seemed eager to welcome John into her life and the village.
However, her curiosity about her newfound sibling’s past may put her in serious danger.
In recent episodes, Victoria’s attempts to dig deeper into John’s background caused tension between the siblings.
At one point she sneakily went on his phone to try and find out more about his identity, and found texts between John and Aaron.
On Monday’s episode, Victoria went a step further by snooping through John’s van, where she uncovered dog tags labelled Aidan Moore.
John was furious about Victoria’s snooping and warned her to stop looking into his past.
His angry outburst left fans of the show concerned for Victoria’s safety, and many believe that her curiosity could lead to disastrous consequences.
One viewer warned: “Vic really needs to be careful, what does she actually know about John?”
Another fan added: “I was horrified she rooted around in his van. If something bad happens, she’ll only have herself to blame.”
Some fans are even speculating that John might have a darker side, with one posting: “Is Victoria asking to get herself murdered? Stop snooping!”
On Tuesday, John finally revealed to Victoria that Aidan Moore was his best friend, and the two had served together in Afghanistan before Aidan died in an explosion.
Despite this explanation, many viewers are convinced that John has a darker secret than his military past – and worry that Victoria will end up dead if she keeps trying to uncover it.
