Mark Robinson refused tech experts' offer to help him disprove CNN bombshell: report
Republican Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (N.C.) was offered help from internet technology experts who were willing to look through the racist messages that he allegedly posted on a pornographic website to determine if they were genuine or were faked using artificial intelligence technology.
But Robinson denied their offers, and WRAL reported it on Monday, althugh the campaign also denied that the candidate was offered IT help of any kind.
“That is entirely false," spokesperson Mike Lonergan said. "Lt. Gov. Robinson is in the process of retaining aggressive legal counsel to investigate who did this and how; we will leave no stone unturned, and will use every legal means to hold CNN and whomever else is involved accountable."

Robinson immediately rejected the CNN report as an attempt to bring him down by political opponents. He released a video denying the allegations and promised voters that they know his true "character."
Over the weekend, Robinson's senior staff resigned in mass, and the refusal to accept help may have contributed to this, reported WRAL. When he refused help, it "sowed doubt among" the staff, according to WRAL's sources.
It is a little over a month before the November election, and Robinson said he's trying to rebuild his staff. Meanwhile, he's looking for ways to sue CNN, he told voters in Wilkes County.
He explained that he's considering “everything up to legal counsel to take CNN to task for what they have done to us. We are going after them.”
The Republican Governor's Association canceled its support ads to help elect Robinson, indicating they have given up on the race.
Robinson alleges he's the victim of a "high-tech lynching."
