BBC forced to CUT very rude moment out of raunchy sex scenes as Industry series three finally arrives in UK
INDUSTRY fans in the UK are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the show’s third season, which has already wrapped up its run on HBO in the US.
However, British viewers will be watching a slightly altered version of the racy drama when it hits BBC One.
According to RadioTimes, while the majority of the content remains unchanged, one of the explicit sex scenes has been edited for UK audiences.
While no entire scenes have been axed, an X-rated shot of male anatomy did not make the cut for the BBC version.
It comes after the Sun shared the news that BBC bosses made a blunder and let racy scenes leak two weeks before the show was due to air on screens.
Pictures from a racy nude pool scene showing Kit Harington baring all have been released online – and may well be from the segment that was cut.
Kit can be seen swimming with stunning co-star Marisa Abela before kissing her and climbing out of the private pool and revealing he was skinny dipping.
Other scenes leaked see Fire Island star Joel Kim Booster appear totally naked in a sauna with co-star Harry Lawtey.
Pictures of the moment have been spread online, and this could also have potentially inspired a cut.
Industry has a reputation for its steamy moments, and will be aired in a post-watershed slot to accommodate its adult themes.
The show has garnered significant praise during its US run, receiving such critical acclaim that it has already been renewed for a fourth season.
Co-creators Mickey Down and Konrad Kay expressed their excitement about the renewal, saying: “We are beyond thrilled and grateful to HBO, the incredible team at Bad Wolf, and our phenomenal cast and crew for their continued belief in Industry.
“We can’t wait to dive deeper and deliver the best season yet in season 4.”
Industry follows graduate recruits at a London investment bank who have six months to prove themselves before half of them are fired.
Six-figure bonuses, cocaine habits and big egos are all put on display as the show examines issues of gender, race, class, and privilege in the workplace.
Actress Myha’la Herrold previously spoke about the series being renewed for a third season, telling fans: “Y’all did this… Thank you so much for watching our show and sending us so much love.”
Game of Thrones star Kit Harington will be joining the cast this season as Lumi CEO and British aristocrat Lord Henry Muck.
Lord Henry runs a green energy tech company that is about to go public during the third series of the show, and Kit’s character promises to be a key figure in the unfolding drama.
The official synopsis for the third season teases: “As Pierpoint looks to the future and takes a big bet on ethical investing, Yasmin, Robert, and Eric find themselves at the heart of the splashy IPO of Lumi…in a story that runs all the way to the very top of finance, media, and government.”
