Spurs are preparing bid for Valencia starlet in January transfer window
According to Fichajes, Tottenham are prioritising the signing of Valencia starlet Javi Guerra and are ready to push ahead with an offer for the midfielder in January.
Tottenham are interested in Javi Guerra
The report says that Guerra’s impressive performances over the last 18 months have attracted the attention of several European clubs, with Tottenham now ready to step up their pursuit.
It is explained that the Lilywhites are keen on adding to their midfield engine room and have identified the Spaniard as their top target.
In fact, it is alleged that Spurs are now preparing a formal offer to sign Guerra, with the North London side expected to send a bid Valencia’s way in January.
How much would Javi Guerra cost Spurs?
However, Los Che are said to be keen on keeping the player and would only sell him for a fee of around €35m (£29m) during the winter.
This price is said to be ‘an obstacle’ for Spurs, who are not willing to spend that much on Guerra. Instead, the Premier League side are ‘convinced’ that they can land the Spain Under-21 international for a lower fee.
The belief at Spurs is that there is room for both clubs to ‘find a common ground’, with the Postecoglou’s men thus expected to begin negotiations over the player soon.

It was widely reported that Ange wanted an all-action midfielder in the summer and one would thus expect that to be one of Tottenham’s priorities in January.
Guerra certainly fits the bill for Spurs, given his age and his attributes so this could be an interesting one to keep an eye on over the coming months.
