I won £333k lottery jackpot but it’s RUINED all my plans – I’m having sleepless nights
A PETROLHEAD who won a staggering £333,000 on the People’s Postcode Lottery is having sleepless nights.
Adrian Platt, who was stunned after he was handed the cheque, said the winnings have scarpered his plans for the year.

He said: “We had a yearly plan and now that has completely blown it.”
“I can’t put it into words. It’s a shock to the system. My life is going to change completely.
“When I got the phone call to say that I’d won at least £1,000, I thought I would have been happy with £500.
“I never dreamed of a figure like the one that I’m holding in my hand right now. I’ll need to sit down and have a cup of tea or something stronger.
“I haven’t slept properly since getting the phone call to say I’d won,” he added.
The clever player doubled his takings thanks to a 10-second website trick.
He played with two tickets – something all players can do – and got double the shares of the £1 million that was split with four other neighbours on his street.
The civil servant threw a hand over his mouth after being presented with an initial cheque for £166,666.
Then he bent double with shock when he was given a second cheque for the same amount.
“I never thought I’d see the day when someone would give me a cheque for that amount,” he said.
“I thought one day it might be me – it is today, and it is me.
“Now there will be a lot of happy days going forward on that type of money. Me and my wife can start enjoying ourselves now.”
Adrian called wife Jacqueline to break the news of their win while she babysat their two grandchildren.
“The kids were asking why she was crying, and she said it was happy tears,” he explained.

Classic car fan Adrian has always wanted to restore a 1963 Split Screen VW and then go travelling with Jacqueline and the grandkids.
“We’d take in all the sites and villages in the UK. We can take our time and look round this beautiful country,” he said.
Adrian also wants to spread his joy by helping friends and family.
He said: “I’ll sort my twin brother out and other family and friends that I haven’t seen for a while. Just to help people out. I like to share.”
