Rebecca Sudwarts, a fashionista who is five foot eight and in between a size 14 and 16, was lucky enough to get her hands on a range of must-have Autumn/Winter buys, including a brilliant pair of boots and a super stylish coat.

Not only this, but she also nabbed a dress that is super flattering, and sweatshirts that are perfect for the change in season.

The curvy fashion fan, who is from the UK, took to social media to share her honest thoughts on her new Asda haul, leaving many very impressed.

Posting online, the ex Senior Fashion Buyer shared her clip with the caption ‘I’ve found the BEST A/W faux leather coat and it’s in this reel! Really loving all these looks from George at Asda.’

To kick off her haul, the content creator confessed: “This is my biggest George at Asda haul I’ve ever done.”

We then saw Rebecca wearing a £16 sweatshirt with a new pair of jeans, which cost her £17, as she explained: “They’re a really nice mom fit, they have stretch in them so they’re super comfy to wear all day.

“How lovely is this sweatshirt? It’s great to layer over leggings or to pop out on the school run. I absolutely love the colour.”

She completed the outfit with a black pair of Chelsea boots, which she described as “so comfy” and cost her just £23.

Rebecca also nabbed a £42 biker jacket, as she continued: “I think it is amazing value for money.

“There’s plenty of room to put a jumper underneath for winter, but it’s super warm.”

She styled the jacket with a pair of wide leg jeans, which are priced at £22, as she explained: “They are such a lovely lightweight quality. They look really great with the chunky boots.”

She also got a graphic sweatshirt for £16 and claimed: “It looks great with the wide leg jeans but would also look really nice with leggings and trainers as well.”

Is supermarket fashion the new high street?

DEPUTY Fashion Editor Abby McHale weighs in:

The supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, as you head in to do your weekly food shop you can also pick up a selection of purse-friendly, stylish pieces for all the family.

Tesco has just announced a 0.7 per cent increase in the quarter thanks to a ‘strong growth in clothing’ and M&S has earnt the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street.

Asda’s clothing line George has made £1.5 million for the supermarket in 2023, 80 per cent of Sainsbury’s clothes sold at full price rather than discounted and Nutmeg at Morrisons sales are also up 2 per cent in the past year.

So what is it about supermarket fashion that is becoming so successful?

Apart from the clothing actually being affordable, it’s good quality too – with many being part of schemes such as the Better Cotton Initiative.

A lot of the time they keep to classic pieces that they know will last the customer year after year.

Plus because they buy so much stock they can turn around pieces quickly and buy for cheaper because of the volumes.

Following this, Rebecca rocked a leopard print skirt with a black top, both of which were £14 each, as she beamed: “How nice is this little basic? It’s longer so you can tuck it in and tuck it out, it’s a great basic to have in your wardrobe.”

And to finish off the haul, Rebecca modelled two of her new dresses, both of which left her very impressed.

The blonde-haired beauty rocked a long-sleeved £22 frock, as she said: “I love this dress, it’s so flattering.

Reasons to shop supermarket fashion

When looking for new pieces to add to your seasonal wardrobe, or update your basics, there's no need to spend hours walking around clothes shops, or scrolling online. Just pick up a dress or two alongside your fruit and veg...

They’re convenient – Chances are you visit your supermarket more times than a shopping centre or high street.

It’s affordable – For basics  to more fashion-led pieces, supermarkets are leading the way for budget fashion that doesn’t look cheap.

They’re more on-trend that you think – With a customer database larger than the average high street store, shops like ASDA, Sainsbury’s and Tesco are able to cater to the markets and predict trends in a lot more areas than just food supply.

They fit well – Fits and lengths often come with a little more modesty in mind. Fabrics are often highly practical too—think plenty of 100% cotton that can be thrown into the washing machine without thought.

“I really love the purple, marble print. It reminds me of something you’d see in AllSaints.”

She then tried on her new denim dress, which cost her £26, as she concluded: “This dress is gorgeous, it looks super premium. It has some stretch to it so it’s really comfy.”

FASHION FANS RAVE

Instagram users were left open-mouthed by the clip, which was posted under the username @stylingwithrebecca and has quickly racked up 542,000 views.

Fashion fans raced to the comments to praise Rebecca’s haul and the ‘great’ new-in clothes.
