Mark Lawrenson predicts the score for Tottenham vs Brentford
Mark Lawrenson backs Tottenham to get back to winning ways against Brentford this Saturday after two back-to-back Premier League losses against Newcastle United and Arsenal.
Tottenham are in some poor form
Tottenham are desperate to turn their form around and build some momentum at the start of the season, having picked up just four points from their first four matches.
The teams at the top end of the table are already pulling away from Ange Postecoglou’s men, who might have a mountain to climb if they continue to drop points over the next few weeks.
While Tottenham may take some confidence from the way they came back in dramatic fashion against Coventry City in the Carabao Cup, their performance on Wednesday was nothing to write home about.
The Lilywhites have another stern test coming up this Sunday, with the Bees set to visit the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Score prediction for Tottenham vs Brentford
Despite coming into this game in poor form, Lawrenson has backed the home side to come away with a comfortable win.
He told Paddy Power: “Brentford should have been 3-0 up against Manchester City inside 25 minutes last week. Yoane Wissa went off early with an injury which will be a big blow to them as he’s out for a while.
“Spurs are going through all the drama again but they really should win this.”
Prediction: Tottenham 2-0 Brentford.
Spurs Web Opinion
Brentford are an extremely well-organised side and will be difficult to break down. They also have players who can hurt us on the counter-attack.
So this will not be an easy game and we desperately need an early goal to take the pressure off.
