Hosted by Jeff Probst, Survivor returns for its second season this year (and its 47th season ever). Originally premiering in 2000, Survivor has become the pinnacle of American reality competition shows. Each season pits 18 castaways on an island, where they are put into tribes that must survive various challenges and voting rounds. The winner gets $1 million and, of course, lifelong bragging rights. Among the contestants this year is former Obama speechwriter turned Crooked Media co-founder Jon Lovett.
