A DERMATOLOGIST revealed the best products to use to tackle stretch marks.
According to the expert, two skincare items are all you need to smooth out stretched skin.
In her viral video, TikTok user Dr Adel (@aamnaadel) explained why two common items are more effective than Bio-Oil for smoothing your stretch marks.
For her first recommendation, the TikToker advised her audience to pick up a retinol cream.
While tretinoin is precription only, she explained that it’s over the counter alternative can be just as effective for tackling stretch marks.
Dr Adel suggested applying the product to help create a glowing complexion as well as smooth stretch marks.
She highlighted that the treatment is not suitable for pregnant women.
For those who can safely use retinol, she pointed out that there are “tonnes of options on the market.”

For her second product suggestion, Dr Adel recommended applying hyaluronic acid to the effected area.
She explained that both the serum and cream versions of the item are effective.

Dr Adel previously spoke about her own pregnancy experience and how it effected her body.
“I was nine months pregnant and I did not have a single stretch mark,” she revealed.
“Partly because I kind of had, like, all the inside knowledge about what it is that I should be doing.”

The importance of sun cream in your skincare routine
Dermatologist and skincare enthusiast Andrea Suarez - known as Dr Dray - revealed why you should wear suncream.
The one thing you can do that will make the biggest difference – and this matters for all ages – is protecting your skin from the sun, Andrea stressed.
“The vast majority of external aging is due to exposure to ultraviolet radiation,” she continued, not because you’re “not using some jazzy serum or layering 90 different things on your face everyday”.
“If you’re not doing in your 20s, get on that now.”
But she said the use of sun cream alone doesn’t go far enough. Andrea urged that you also wear sun-protective clothing like broad-brimmed hats and long sleeves, on top of not staying out too long in the sun.
Doing this over your lifetime – and all year, not just during the summer or on sunny days – “will reduce the visible signs of photoageing”, Andrea said.
Those are wrinkles, muddled pigmentation and sagging skin.
