David Beckham shocks CBS Sports panel as he gatecrashes Champions League coverage before making cheeky Kate Abdo joke
DAVID BECKHAM stole the show and delivered the best line with a Devil of a comment about Kate Abdo – as he gatecrashed the CBS Champions League coverage.
Pundits Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry and especially Micah Richards were open-mouthed with excitement when Beckham walked into the studio.

Former Manchester United midfielder Becks was first left smiling bashfully as the ex-Man City defender was overcome with emotion at his hero’s unexpected visit.
But after recovering, Richards asked: “Who’s your favourite on this show?”
Beckham flashed back faster than one of his trademark free-kicks: “The United fan” – as he turned to look at Abdo.
Cue uproar in the studio – with Richards jokily hurling some screwed-up paper at the smiling broadcaster at the far end of the table.
Manchester-born Abdo is a lifetime Red Devils‘ supporter.
And she smiled broadly at Beckham’s announcement.
But while Becks was wowing the pundits, it was Richards who was doing the woo-ing!

Sitting next to the former Real Madrid star, he raved: “He smells good, he looks good… His suit is fresh. What a guy!”
Becks couldn’t contain his laughter at that claim.
Abdo had earlier opened the whole encounter by teasing the appearance of a special guest.
Beckham then appeared on a video link – but with apparent “sound problems” preventing him from being heard.
However, that was all part of Abdo’s mischievous build-up – as Becks then shocked the three Prem stars next to her by walking in on the other side of the studio.
He praised CBS coverage as “exciting, different” – before modestly insisting: “I’m not a pundit and I don’t think I’ve ever been good enough to be a pundit.”
But whatever impression he might make on viewers, he certainly won over the studio.
