Shoppers were overjoyed to hear about the mega discounts – which have seen £200 baskets reduced to just a tenner.

Popular accessories brand Claire’s, which has over 300 shops in the UK, has slashed its prices on select ranges in their stores.

And now, thanks to the ‘secret offer’ which enables shoppers to nab 10 items for only £10, it’s no surprise that savvy mums and dads are stocking up on gifts for their kids for birthdays and Christmas, and have been taking to Facebook to show off their bargain buys.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, a private group with 2.5 million members, many bargain hunters shared snaps of their huge hauls.

A mother named Alex Mark Barlow advised shoppers to get down to their nearest Claire’s, and fast, as she nabbed £344 worth of items for only £30.

Thrilled with her huge saving of £314, the social media user wrote: “Don’t walk but run to Claire’s.

“£344 full price, £152 sale prices… paid £30 with the 10 for £10 at Claire’s.”

Alex stocked up on all things from beauty bits and jewellery, to notebooks, socks and caps, as she continued: “Perfect stocking fillers for our five daughters! They had so much stuff, this was from the Derby store.”

Sammi Leslie also stocked up on the ‘secret offer’ which she confirmed was emailed to her recently.

Sammi claimed that the offer is available in store only and it ends very soon – on 18th September.

Alongside a picture of her haul, which contained rucksacks, headbands, hair clips and more, the savvy shopper beamed: “Claire’s Accessories 10 for £10 on all sale via club email!

“I also had a £5 reward to use so I spent just £15!

“Nice Christmas stocking fillers bits for my girls!”

More deals on at Claire's

  • The high street retailer is also offering a Buy Three Get Three Free deal – an in-store exclusive.
  • If you’re shopping online, the brand has a huge 50 per cent off Hair, Jewellery and Beauty offer.
  • There’s also a scheme allowing FREE earrings for a year when you get your ears pierced at a branch – Exclusions apply.
  • Meanwhile, customers can bag free shipping on orders more than £20 – but you must be a Claire’s Club member.
  • Their Season Steals sale also boasts 60 per cent off hundreds of styles.

Angela Osborne was another who was keen to show off her purchases, which cost her a grand total of just £20.

Angel nabbed Eylure false eyelashes, socks, spa headwraps and perfumes, as she confirmed: “All this should have been £220. £20 with the 10 for £10 offer email at Claire’s Accessories.”

And Shannon Jupp was another shopper impressed with her buys, which included lip balms, beauty bags and even Squishmallows.

Thrilled with her haul, Shannon beamed: “Claires 10 for £10 deal. This is from the Hove store.

“It’s not just the red label sale stuff in the deal. I got all of this for £15. It should have cost me £243!

“The bag alone was £40 and the Squishmallows were £25 each, bloody bargain!”

How to bag a bargain

SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…

Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.

Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.

Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.

Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.

Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.

When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.

Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.

Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.

And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.

Facebook users were gobsmacked to see Shannon’s huge haul and many flocked to the comments to praise her finds, as well as the brilliant deal.

One person said: “Wow, that’s the best lot I’ve seen.”

Another added: “This is the best bundle I’ve seen for this deal.

“Our local store sadly only had a lot of tat left. Well done on your bargains.”

A third commented: “Need to go.”

Whilst someone else wrote: “Defo need to look tomorrow – I’ve got the email with the barcode!”
