Reggaeton star scrubs endorsement after Trump misgenders him as 'hot' woman: report
A Reggaeton star reportedly scrubbed his presidential endorsement off social media after former President Donald Trump mistakenly introduced the singer as a "hot" woman at his weekend campaign rally in Las Vegas.
Before realizing singer Nicky Jam was a man, Trump quipped: “Do you know Nicky? She’s hot."
"Where’s Nicky? Oh, look, I’m glad he came up," Trump corrected himself as the singer approached the stage.
Now, according to The Daily Beast, Jam is quietly deleting any mention of his Trump endorsement from social media.
"Jam initially made light of the gaffe in an Instagram post — its caption referred to himself, in Spanish, as a 'hot woman,' accompanied by no fewer than 22 crying-laughing emojis. But, as of Sunday night, the post had been deleted. The comment section on his most recent post before it, which was unrelated to Trump, was also deactivated," reported Liam Archacki.
However, the post was deleted Sunday, as the endorsement has "made him the subject of relentless criticism — and mockery — across the internet."

Amid the ordeal, Mexican rock band Maná took down its collaboration with Jam and said on its Instagram page: “Maná doesn’t work with racists.”
While taking down the post, Jam has not commented on the matter or officially confirmed he is rescinding the original endorsement.
All of this comes as Trump's rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, racks up some key endorsements, including that of pop megastar Taylor Swift, who also endorsed President Joe Biden four years ago. Swift had largely sat on the sidelines for most of this cycle. The move caused much of the GOP to bristle, with Trump even taking to his Truth Social account to attack the celebrity singer.
