Rensselaer County swears in two new corrections officers
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Rensselaer County Sheriff's Office welcomed two new correctional officers on Monday. A swearing-in ceremony took place at the county public safety building.
The new officers underwent a medical and psychological exam as well as an interview and background check. The county hired a full-time recruiter in May to try and boost staffing.
Four new correctional officers also joined the sheriff's office in August.
