Feeling all of the emotions at KCDC's newest exhibit
TOPEKA (KSNT) — An emotion-filled exhibit is coming to the Kansas Children's Discovery Center (KCDC) this week.
Crews of volunteers are putting the pieces together for the center's new exhibit: Emotions at Play. It's based on Disney Pixar's movie, Inside Out.
The exhibit is developed by the Children's Museum in Pittsburgh, and Pixar Animation Studios. You can join the emotions and friends from Pixar's hit film as you explore all the fun activities.
"It's like walking into the movie. You get to stand behind the control panel, just like the folks do in the movie. You get to create your own core memories," Laura Burton, marketing director at KCDC, said. "It's a really wonderful exhibit experience that involves a lot of fun and a lot of learning and thinking and talking about emotions and feelings as well. "
The exhibit opens this Friday, Sept. 20 and runs until Jan. 5th. Access to the exhibit is included in your price of admission to the discovery center.
