On-site ABC News reporter Jaclyn Lee called the sight as “jaw-dropping” and immersive with the Sphere screen being described as “40 times larger than your typical IMAX.” The audience’s seats are also programmed to vibrate along with the action inside the octagon.
To commemorate Mexican Independence Day Weekend, UFC 306 is also being dubbed “Noche UFC,” and features a lineup with several fighters of Mexican heritage, including flyweight champion Alexa Grasso, who fights Valentina Shevchenko in a trilogy bout in the co-main event. The show is also set to include a series of short films, celebrating the storied history of Mexican combat sports.
Those attending tonight’s show will also be greeted in English and in Spanish by a hologram of White himself, which can be seen below.
