Eagle-Eyed Fans Noticed the Heartwarming Nickname Kate Middleton Has for Son Prince Louis
Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales (also known as Kate Middleton) have worked hard toensure their kids have a normal lifestyle, despite many royals trying to have their kids be the pinnacle of prime and proper royalty. While we know about their lack of staff and family days, we now know about Prince Louis‘ nickname thanks to their cancer update video.
In case you missed it, on Sept 9, Kensington Palace shared a rare update on Kate, and her cancer journey. From the “message from Catherine, The Princess of Wales,” she revealed in the video taken by Will Warr, that she has ended chemotherapy and is focusing on staying cancer-free and being with her family. The video gave fans a beautiful glimpse into how the family of five explore the woods and ocean, and how they spend their downtime.

While we already know that Kate’s nickname for Princess Charlotte is “Lottie,” the video shows that Kate called Louis “Lou Bug.” In the video, we see the family of five walking through a wooded area, and since Louis is leading the way, Kate tells him, “Lou Bug, you lead the way!”
Now, this actually isn’t the first time we’ve daughter her saying “Lou Bug.” Back in May 2023 at the Big Help Out, we can see in a video that Kate said to Louis, “Pop this in the fire, Lou-Bugs.”
For those who don’t know, William and Kate have been together on and off since 2003.
Since their nuptials, they have since welcomed three children named Prince George, born in July 2013, Charlotte, born in May 2015, and Louis, born in April 2018.
