Waves to be had
Hello Friends,
Definitely a few waves around this morning. The quality doesn’t look amazing, but both the point and the beach were seeing waist-and-a-bit high wave faces thanks to a raw looking 2.6 metre, 8-second south swell. Tide was coming off the 0910 low, skies were mostly sunny and the wind was 11-18 kt from the SW. The Bureau says the swell will be fading back into the 1.5 metre range this afternoon.
Wondering about the prospects for coming week? May I refer you to the wisdom of the Goat…
Have a great Friday and don’t leave it too long to get to the beach because the wind will go more southerly and it won’t back off until this evening.
Weather Situation
A cold front and associated trough moves off the New South Wales coast leaving a fresh to strong southerly wind change in its wake. The southerly airstream will somewhat ease later today as a high pressure ridge follows the front, before southerly winds increase again over the weekend as another cold front moves along the coast.
