Morning Briefing: Trade Deadline at 6:00 PM
Good morning, Mets fans! It’s trade deadline day. Who do you want to see packing their bags? (Besides any visiting in-laws.)
The Mets didn’t make any trades on Monday, but there’s certain reason to believe they will on Tuesday before the 6:00 p.m. ET deadline.
The Mets have been linked to starting pitching and relievers. Andy Martino of SNY reported that the Mets have checked in on reigning Cy Young winner Blake Snell. Fellow lefties Garret Crochet and Tarik Skubal are still on the market, though both would require significant prospect packages.
On the bullpen side, reports have connected the Mets to lefty closer Tanner Scott, veteran right-hander John Brebbia, and lefty Tanner Banks from the White Sox.
We will keep you updated with all the rumors!
