Man Utd and Arsenal set for Marc Guehi transfer scrap with England star to REJECT new Crystal Palace contract
ARSENAL and Manchester United are on high alert with Marc Guehi set to reject Crystal Palace’s new contract offer.
The 23-year-old has shone for England at Euro 2024 and now has a host of top clubs chasing his services as the Eagles look likely to lose their biggest three stars this summer.
Palace had been hoping to keep hold of centre-half Guehi for at least one more season after already selling Michael Olise to Bayern Munich.
And fellow England Euro 2024 ace Eberechi Eze has a £60million release clause, which both Tottenham and Manchester City are willing to trigger.
Guehi, who started the first four games of the tournament for the Three Lions but was suspended for penalty shoot-out victory over Switzerland on Saturday, still has two years left on his deal.
But unless Palace can persuade him to sign a new one then they may be forced to cash in.
The Eagles want Guehi to sign a new contract which would include a release clause when he returns from the Euros.
But SunSport has now learned he has no intention of doing so.
He is understood to be keen to explore his options this summer amidst interest from Manchester United.
The Red Devils are particularly impressed with the ease with which he has adapted to playing as England’s left-sided centre-back in Germany despite being right footed.

United have already agreed personal terms with Jarrad Branthwaite.
However, Everton have blocked the deal, and with three years left on his contract, they will not drop their £80m valuation.
Given Guehi has less than two years left on his contract Palace’s negotiating position is less strong and he is likely to be a cheaper option.
And it will not only be Palace’s coffers that get boosted if he is sold.
He joined Palace for £18m from Chelsea in 2021, and the Blues do maintain the right to buy him back if they match a bid made from another club.
But they also have a 20 per cent sell-on clause, which would provide a tidy sum to their own transfer kitty.
Guehi has been England’s most consistent performer at the Euros before missing their quarter-final win.
However, he is set to return to the starting line-up for Wednesday’s semi-final against Holland.
