Resurfaced Reports Show How Close Rose Hanbury & Queen Camilla May Actually Be
Chances are, when you think of Rose Hanbury, you think about the alleged feud between her and Catherine, Princess of Wales, and the (unfounded!) alleged affair between her and Prince William, Prince of Wales. However, while both have been debunked time and time again, it seems that Hanbury is quite close to another member of the British royal family, maybe even more so than the Wales family.
Remember when Hanbury and Queen Camilla made headlines back in early May 202 for being pictured laughing together at the final day of the Badminton Horse Trials 2024? Many wondered, “Wow, they seem quite chummy, are they pals?” Well, it turns out that Hanbury is actually quite close with the Parker-Bowles family.
Recently, on X, the website formerly known as Twitter, an account @GenerallyBrock shared a newspaper clipping showing Camilla and her ex-husband, Andrew Parker Bowles’ daughter Laura Lopes and Hanbury together. The account shared this with the caption reading: “I got the impression from this 2004 newspaper article that there was a preexisting relationship between Camilla and Rose Hanbury through her (Camilla’s) daughter. From the looks of it, it’s been a minimum of two decades.”
And in the newspaper clipping, which was resurfaced by The List, “Laura Parker Bowles (left), Camilla’s daughter, with friends Rose Hanbury and Emma Lopes at the opening of Austique, a new boutique on the King’s Road which gathers together the best of Australian fashion….. Model Rose Hanbury, daughter of designer Emma Hanbury, stood out in a velvet jacket and flowing…skirt. ‘It’s designed by my mother,’ Rose told me shyly. ‘Although I’m worried I look a bit less glamorous than everyone else.'”
It was a clipping from the Evening Standard on June 24, 2004.
So it seems Hanbury has been pals with the Parker-Bowles family for decades now!
Along with being seen partying together, Hanbury and her family went to Laura’s wedding in 2006, and Hanbury also supported Camilla’s son, Tom Parker Bowles, during his numerous book launch events.
Also, when Hanbury’s son Oliver served as a Page of Honor during the Coronation for King Charles III, he was with Camilla’s grandchildren Gus, Louis, and Freddy, per Town and Country Magazine.
