A 73-YEAR-OLD woman has shared her skincare secrets to looking two decades younger.
She said she “swears by” two cupboard staples – which she has used for the last 25 years.
The woman’s skincare routine was revealed on the Reddit forum 45 Plus Skincare by her daughter, who made the thread, and attached an image of her mother.
She commented: “[My mother] used retin-a/ tretinion for 25 years.
“Religiously used sunscreen and swore by olive oil inside and out.
“When she was younger she just used the green and blue Pond’s cream.
“I thought I’d post to show the long term results of tretinion! I hope I’m as lucky!”
In just a few days, the post has received over 1.3k likes and loads of comments.
One person replied: “She does not look her age!”
Another comment read: “She doesn’t look over 50! Wow.”
Someone else said: “She looks lovely! I like that she is not pumped full of injectable but also very beautiful and glowing.”
A third wrote: “I would say she looks considerably younger than 73, about a decade younger imo. Regardless, she looks fresh and natural!”
Someone else wanted to know: “Could you please ask her what sunscreen/s are her favourite?”
The daughter revealed: “She and I both use EltaMD on our face and neck.

What is Retin-A/tretinoin?
The 73-year-old is said to have used Retin-A/tretinoin “for 25 years”.
Retin-A’s active ingredient, tretinoin, was created as a treatment for acne.
Retin-A is a form of vitamin A that helps the skin renew itself.
It works by normalising skin cell turnover. It also stimulates collagen and helps reduce dark spots and wrinkles.
Warning: When using Retin-A avoid exposure to sunlight or artificial UV rays (sunlamps or tanning beds).
Retin-A can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight and sunburn may result. Use a sunscreen (minimum SPF 15) and wear protective clothing if you must be out in the sun.
In terms of exercise, the 73-year-old used to be a “physical trainer”, and “has always weight trained”.
The daughter then expanded more on her mother’s physical activity when someone commented: “Her muscle tone is amazing. She Probably never really stopped exercising?”
She revealed: “She still lifts weights! She goes to the gym four times a week and eats healthy.
“I think she’s been the same weight my whole life.”
