FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Beautiful weather is settling in central Ohio just in time for the weekend. High pressure will build up over the Great Lakes. This will be the driving factor behind our quiet conditions. Temperatures will start off seasonable, but will eventually warm up. We will see increasing sunshine as the weekend goes on.
Saturday will start off mostly clear, but a few more clouds will build up by the afternoon. Highs will reach the mid 80s. Humidity won't be too high, but will still be a little elevated. Winds will increase to the 10-15 mph range by the afternoon.
Tonight partly cloudy skies will continue. Wind speeds will come down a lot becoming very night. Overall conditions will stay very quiet as that high pressure system settles right over Columbus.
Sunday begins a rise in temperatures as most of central Ohio will see highs in the upper 80s. Even more sunshine is expected during the day. Winds will vary in direction throughout the day, but remain relatively calm in speed.
Next week starts off in the 90s for temperatures, but that will not last long as a cold front approaches the area. Spotty rain and storm chances start up Tuesday and will linger most of the week. A washout is not expected, but at this point any rain is still welcomed. Parts of central Ohio are still at a moderate drought stage.
