'Trump will take revenge on all of you': Ex-Republican sends message to former colleagues
In the first episode of his Bulwark podcast, former Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele spoke with ex-Republican Rick Wilson, co-founder of The Lincoln Project, about a possible life under Donald Trump as president.
"I want to send a message to our former Republican colleagues, who still think that they're immune," Wilson began. "When the day comes, Donald Trump will take his revenge on all of you who criticized him. All — anybody. Everyone who said a damn harsh word about him is going to be on the chopping block."
He went on to tell folks who believe that they are immune from Trump's hit list that they are mistaken.

"And some of you people who think that you're his loyalists right now, someday, you will step wrong," he continued. "Some day, you will make a mistake. Some day you will piss him off. And guess what? All of those magnificent tools that you're cheerleading for right now 'Yay! Trump has ultimate power!' They'll turn on you."
The two turned to talk about the recent ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court granting Trump more immunity than was previously enjoyed by presidents. Wilson said that the ruling happened for Trump, but even if it didn't, and it happened with no specific president in question, it would still be a terrible ruling.
"It redefined America," Wilson said, calling it an "overreach."
He explained that even if Nikki Haley was the defendant in the case, he would have a problem with the expansion of presidential powers because that's what "conservative" values are.
"But the Supreme Court made this decision knowing that there's a meaningful possibility Donald Trump, who will now take two words out of that decision and use it as a shield for the rest of his life," said Wilson.
He predicted that Trump would forever claim everything is an "official act" to ensure he's covered for the behavior.
