Dunelm’s sell-out wave rug is finally back in stock after taking over the most stylish floors on Instagram
DUNELM is one place we flock to for affordable, yet durable homeware, whether it is new pots and pans, bedding, accent chairs or rugs.
There is one rug in particular we have been eyeballing for quite some time, and while it has sold out due to popular demand it is now back in stock.

The Elements Wave Natural Border Wool Rug comes in various sizes, hence the price variation, with the smallest rug costing £79 and the largest fetching £229 at Dunelm – but only while stocks last.
Dunelm rugs have been hugely popular over the years with interior enthusiasts, and the Elements Wave Natural Border Wool Rug is the perfect way to fill the floor space and add extra touches to make your house/flat/bungalow/room a home.
The rug is a neutral beige hue, which complements every colour scheme, while the soft wave edges are lined with multicolour 2D lines in red, blue, green and ochre, to add a pop of colour to your home.
It’s simple but effective.
The scallop border softens the rug and makes a welcome alternative to the classic rectangular or oval-shaped floor furnishings we are used to.
The rug is made from 100% wool, while the backing is 100% cotton, which means it is soft and durable, but also won’t unravel over the years.
However if you want to clean the rug, or remove any stains, Dunelm recommends using a suction vacuum rather than a brush to avoid damaging the fabric and snagging the rug. Dunelm also recommends rotating the rug to “balance out wear”, which is another nifty hack.
This Dunelm rug comes in three sizes, including 120cm x 170xm priced at £79, 160cm x 230cm costs £139, and the largest measures 200cm x 290cm, which retails for £229.
The rug was hugely popular earlier this season when it was released and sold out in the blink of an eye.
But Dunelm announced on its official Instagram account that it is finally back in stock – much to our delight, and many other shoppers too.
The clip of a lounge area featuring the rug was captioned: “PSA: that wavy rug you went wild for earlier in the season is BACK (and just waiting to spruce up your space).
“We love how you’ve styled it, @erica_davies (and we hope your housemate loves it, too.”
Shoppers and social media users can’t get enough of the design.
One Dunelm shopper’s review read: “This rug is excellent quality and looks exactly as it does on the site I am very pleased with it well worth the price.”
Another gushed: “I love this rug, it’s really made our living room cosy. It’s the same as the pictures, it’s quite a thick rug, which is nice as we have wooden floors. Lovely colours.”
A third praised: “Very good value for money rug, looks great! It’s light coloured so need to stay on top of hoovering it but makes the room look very cosy and stylish.”
Looking for something similar to the Elements Wave creation but with an added pop of colour, you may want to check out the Milo rug, which features the same scallop edging but blue and neutral stripe detail in the centre.
