I’m a proud Gypsy Queen – people think we’re ‘dirty’ thieves, I’m even judged when I get fish and chips, I’m sick of it
A WOMAN has revealed that she is proud to be a gypsy, but is constantly judged by strangers.
Pashy, 42, who is known online as ‘Gypsy Queen Pashy’, explained that even when she orders fish and chips, she is judged for being a traveller.
She shared that people accuse her of being “dirty” and claim that gypsies “don’t like paying for anything”, but she is keen to silence the nasty haters.
Posting on social media, Pashy clapped back to a mean keyboard warrior that wrote: ‘Your lot don’t like paying for anything and you leave places looking like s**t’.
To this, Pashy wrote: “Don’t judge us when you don’t know us.”
She then explained that people are incredibly fast to judge her, as she opened up: “Judging before they know you. And this is why I’m on this app – to prove that we’re not dirty.
“How can you take the food without paying? Please tell me. Because when you order fish and chips, you order your bit of grub and then you pay for it, and then you sit and you wait.
“So don’t judge before you know, alright? Because you don’t. Be kind to others. I am.”
Pashy shared that in lockdown, she was forced to wait outside a fish and chip shop, whilst other non-travellers were allowed inside.
She added: “I went into that fish and chip shop in the first lockdown.
“I went in there and I said, ‘can I have this certain fish’ and she said, ‘no, no, stand outside’ and we had to stand outside and it was raining.
“But non-travellers were walking in that fish and chip shop, ordering their food, and she was laughing and talking away with them.”
Pashy continued: “People say, ‘how does she know you’re a traveller?’ You can tell a traveller, a mile off.
“Same as a non-traveller. I can tell it a mile off. I can tell a wannabe a mile off.
“When you’re a traveller or gypsy, you know who people are.”

Pashy was keen to encourage others to be kind, as she advised: “But don’t judge us before you know us.
“When we go places, that is how people treat us – in pubs, in restaurants, on the street, they look at you, and why? Because our money, our kindness, ain’t no different to anyone else’s.
“Remember, we all come from the same place. There’s good and bad in everyone.”
Facts on Gypsy and Traveller communities
Typically, Gypsies is a term used to describe Romani people, who migrated to Europe from India.
Meanwhile, traveller refers to a group of people who usually have either Irish, Scottish or English heritage.
It’s though that around 300,000 Gypsy Roma and Irish Travellers live in the UK.
Both groups come from nomadic ways of life, however, as it is increasingly difficult to find land to live on many are moving into permanent housing.
They place high value on family life and often live close together even after reaching adult years and getting married.
Often the men are the breadwinners of the family while the women stay home.
While many English gypsy girls are allowed to drink alcohol and go on holiday with their friends before they get married, many Irish traveller girls are not allowed to do this.
She also confirmed: “And there’s no rubbish lying about here, nowhere at all.
“So when we go and we travel the streets, travel the roads, travel farm to farm, we pick our rubbish up and we take it home and we put it in our bins.
“That’s what we do. If there’s not a bin around, that is what we do.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @gypsyqueenpashy1, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 31,600 views.
Social media users flocked to the comments, eager to support Pashy, as many told her to “take no notice” of the “negative energy.”
