GRAB your school uniforms at supermarkets, plus early-bird sales from next week.

Mini-models Anaya Dodhia Rasul, seven, and Emanoel Roberts Dos Santos, six, give Clemmie Fieldsend their verdicts.

F&F at Tesco

TESCO’s F&F range is great value for money, with top-quality features.

These include adjustable waists, stain-repellent fabrics and colour that lasts.

But it also has a one-year guarantee, so if any of your uniform does not last, the store will replace it for you.

Emanoel says: “It is a really good jumper, it’s soft and warm.”

His mum Raquel says: “This jumper is lovely. With a fleece lining, it will see him through winter. These trousers are pretty good. they are thick with an adjustable waist so they will last as he grows.”

Anaya says: “This cardigan isn’t as soft as some of the other ones but it’s OK. The polo top is nice too.”

Dad Nas says: “Nice and simple, not too frilly. The skirt is adjustable on this one too, which is great.”

Tu at Sainsbury’s

TU at Sainsbury’s has designed a uniform range with practicality in mind – with liquid-repelling fabric, reinforced knees as well as non-iron, grow-with-me features and fun design detailing.

Emanoel says: “I really like this jumper, it feels really soft.”

Mum Raquel says: “The trousers are nice and feel durable. They feel warmer for winter. The jumper is soft but it feels thin.”

Anaya says: “The cardigan is cosy. I’d be happy if it was my school uniform.”

Dad Nas says: “The patterns and the details on this uniform are nice – the cardigan’s flower buttons and the embroidered detail on the collar.

“The belt loops on the trousers are even in the shape of bows.”

M&S

DESIGNED to last with a “hand-me-down” ethos, M&S’s uniforms have features such as stain-resistant fabric and its StayNew technGff shoes.

Emanoel says: “I like the polo top, I like the colour. The trousers are comfy.”

Mum Raquel says: “The trousers feel warm, thick and durable, but the three buttons on the polo shirt seem like overkill and might be tricky for younger ones to do up.”

Anaya says: “This cardigan is so nice and soft and cosy.”

Dad Nas says: “The cardigan material is very soft and thick, which is good for cooler weather. The dress is also really nice and has pockets, which Anaya liked too.”

Cat harbour

Mum Raquel says: “The shirt feels a bit synthetic and the trousers are pull-on. The button and fly are fake, so if your child has moved on to buttons, it feels like a step backwards.”

Anaya says: “I love the colour of the cardigan and the star on the dress.”

Dad Nas says: “This was all easy to put on. You just pull the pinafore over your head so there’s no searching around for zips.

“The cardigan is a good fit for Anaya.”

Morrisons

Emanoel says: “I like this set, it’s cool and like my own school uniform.”

Mum Raquel says: “I’m not so keen on the trousers’ narrow ankles as they don’t really go over the shoe. But the waist has a silver hook and eye, which is easier than a button.”

Anaya says: “I like this skirt, it’s comfy.”

Dad Nas says: “This skirt is good, it has hidden pockets and easy side fastenings to make it bigger or smaller, so it would last her a long time.”
