As the Knicks wait to make their big offseason moves official — namely the blockbuster Mikal Bridges trade — Donte DiVincenzo focused on the culture and coach the Knicks already have in place to carry them through any changes. “Whatever team we have, I think we’re going to be very good,” DiVincenzo said. “No matter what happens the rest of the offseason, I think overall everybody is going to come back and get better. Ian Begley: As noted entering free agency, NYK had very little interest in trading Miles McBride. In addition to today’s Milton/Diakite deal, Knicks, entering free agency, had at least 1 other deal lined up to avoid hard cap. When they made initial Bridges trade, they felt they’d be able to avoid the hard cap at first apron. They did so with today’s deal and will be hard-capped at second apron ($189M) and be able to spend $5m tax payer midlevel. -via Twitter @IanBegley / July 4, 2024
Yossi Gozlan: Shake Milton can get up to a $3.1 million starting salary from the Knicks via his Non Bird rights.
