APD releases photos, video of person of interest wanted in connection with southeast Austin homicide
AUSTIN (KXAN) -- On Wednesday, the Austin Police Department released photos and video of a person of interest wanted in connection with a southeast Austin homicide that happened late last month.
On June 21, officers responded around 4:06 p.m. to a call of a dead person who was found in an abandoned home in the 2600 block of Metcalfe Road. Police later identified that person as Alyssa Ann Rivera, 34.

APD detectives said in the release they believe Rivera was murdered in the abandoned home “by an unknown suspect."
Anyone with any information can call APD at 512-974-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Capital Area Crime Stoppers at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A reward up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.
