I paid £106 for a ‘mystery box’ of lost parcels from Royal Mail – I got new Adidas trainers but the Gucci was fake
A WOMAN has revealed how she bought a huge mystery box filled to the brim with lost Royal Mail packages and was stunned by the content.
Becky Chorlton, from the UK, often buys mystery boxes in the hopes of finding a bargain and took to social media to show off the massive haul.
“I bought a box of Royal Mail lost parcels,” she wrote.
“Was it worth it?”
It’s worth noting that mystery boxes are exactly that – a mystery, so there’s no way to know what you’ll get inside or if it’s worth the money you spend.
But it seemed that for the majority of the contents, Becky did luck out after spending £106 on the box.
She first spotted a Stone Island hoodie and was excited to get it open as they retail for around £275.
Liam Gallagher and even politician Sir Keir Starmer have been pictured wearing Stone Island clothing.
But the bargain hunter was gutted to spot it was a fake and then moved onto the next package which contained £69 Sassy Saints nail set.
The find meant Becky had got over half her money back already.
Becky also nabbed a Murder Drones Teddy which retails for £5 along with a very sought after pair of Adidas Spezial trainers in navy and blue which cost £90 but are constantly sold out.
The pair of shoes were a UK 7.5 size and didn’t fit Becky, so she was likely to sell them on and make a profit from the mystery box.
She next pulled out a ‘random’ pair of pink-framed glasses worth £4 and a soft grey jumper from Lily Silk which retails for £225.
Becky then uncovered two Gucci monogram-style bags but they were unfortunately fake, the original branded accessories can sell for upwards of £1,000.
The next clothing item was a white Represent hoodie with black graphic writing, which has a recommended retail price of £159.
Becky also got two black shopper bags from Longchamp – which usually retail for £120 – but she questioned the authenticity of the products as well as a a Michael Kors Mirella Logo Tote bag, which retails for around £120 online.

MYSTERY boxes are becoming more and more popular, with people keen to take a gamble in buying one. But where can you get one from?
Charity shops
Lots of charity shops have started putting together mystery boxes as a way to get rid of stock that they’ve been otherwise unable to sell. While you can never guarantee what you’re going to get, these boxes are usually cheaper than ones bought elsewhere.
eBay
Many retailers use eBay to sell their stock, with options on the auction site including unclaimed luggage or parcel returns, all put together in a mystery box. It’s not like a normal ‘auction’ though – there will usually be a buy it now price so it’s just like any other internet transaction.
Online retailers
As the popularity of mystery boxes increases, other retailers have started selling them in the hope that they will be a hit among customers. Have a look on sites such as Amazon, Etsy and Wowcher, and you’ll often find the mystery boxes are listed by genre too.
If there’s a particular niche mystery box you’re looking for, it’s always worth searching for it. There are so many websites out there selling mystery boxes, you’ll undoubtedly find what you’re after.
As with buying anything online, make sure you are purchasing from a trusted retailer and a secure website.
The savvy woman also unpacked random items such as a Champions League trophy replica, oil for thinning hair and a portable steamer.
Becky revealed that she bought the lost parcels box from Unboxing Heaven..
The total value of her box was around £866 – £922, meaning Becky had a profit of at least £760.
The clip went viral over on her TikTok account @beckysbazaar with over 273k views and 5,000 likes.
Viewers were quick to ask Becky to sell the goods on to them.
One person wrote: “The shoes!!!!!!”
Another commented: “Bargains!”
“I feel like if I did this I’d just get junk,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “We need to get into this.”
“Sell me the shoes,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Omg I need the spezials.”
