The past is crummy, so let’s look to the future
It may be a month to the trading deadline, but SSS duty geezer Leigh Allan and his son and west coast correspondent, Will, are ready to start swapping and get the clearing-out done early, if anybody will go along:
- Who might want Garrett Crochet sooner rather than later in order to control his workload and have him in prime condition in October?
- The Sox wanting to put Andrew Vaughn on the market right away to take advantage of his annual June resurgence and maximize value before Vaughn’s annual July swoon
- The likelihood Luis Robert, Jr. will be playing elsewhere come August (unlikely)
- And the same for Michael Kopech, John Brebbia, Paul DeJong, Tommy Pham and a host of others (likely)
Then they wander into wondering what the team might look like in 2025, which is scary.
