Beauty fan reveals the secret behind her perfect nude lip – but admits her ‘Frankengloss’ hack is ‘gross’ & ‘unhygienic’

A beauty fan has shared the secret behind her nude lip but warned viewers that it may not be as hygienic as she’d like.
Redditor Agirlhas_no_name shared the makeup technique in a post.
She explained that her go-to lip gloss is DIY — well, kind of.
“I will always buy a clear lip gloss and then slowly, over time, turn it into a ‘Frankengloss,'” she said.
She didn’t worry about keeping her lip gloss clear.
“I find that the little bits of pigment that the applicator picks up when I put it over my lipstick always accumulate into this really beautiful ‘nude’ shade that I can never replicate when I’m shopping for glosses,” she said.
“After about a month of putting it over different lipsticks, I’m left with a really pretty color I can wear on its own.
“Even though I know it’s gross, I’m attached to the process now.”
Fellow beauty fans shared their favorite “unhygienic” makeup practices.
One explained that they tend to let their makeup brushes marinate in product.
“Aside from some spot cleaning, hands down for me is using makeup brushes well past their need to be ‘cleaned,'” they admitted.

“I have and use old as sh*t makeup. I only get rid of it if it has an obvious quality issue (separating, dried out, etc.) And it’s literally fine,” said one commenter.
