What is the opposite of a pitchers’ duel? Because we might have that tonight
The White Sox, fresh off a win against Atlanta (a series win at that!) are playing a team that seems to be mirroring their season. The Rockies (27-53) also sit at the bottom of their division. Sadly, this might be the most evenly-matched White Sox series this season — with the Rockies just a tad bit better.
Drew Thorpe and his sweet stache get the start tonight. He has only pitched three games in the majors this year, with his middle start being a rough one. Thorpe owns an ERA of 5.02 after 14 1⁄3 innings pitched, giving up 11 hits, 10 earned runs, and 11 walks. But in reality, he’s had two great starts and one awful outing.

Dakota Hudson is another young arm, albeit one with more starts and less success: 2-10 so far with an ERA of 5.63. In his last five games, Hudson has given up 24 runs and 10 walks against just 13 strikeouts. Maybe the White Sox will have a chance tonight!
