COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- German Village is set to celebrate its history with the 63rd annual Haus Und Garten tour on Sunday.
There will be 12 stops on the tour, including seven homes and some private gardens. The German Village Society organizes the event every year.
"What makes it so charming, what brings people down, why we are the number one tourist attraction is really about preservation," German Village Society board chair Mike Cornelis said.
Homeowners have worked to both preserve the history of these 19th century homes while also keeping them up to date. Now they say they're ready to show off their passion for this Columbus neighborhood.
"It's an important way to showcase German Village for the rest of the city and raise funds for the really important work done by the society," homeowner Lisa Stein said.
Attendees can check out the homes and gardens on the tour on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be bought on the tour's website.
