Taylor Swift dusted off a cover as a surprise song during the June 14 performance of her Eras Tour in Liverpool!
The 34-year-old superstar sang a stripped-back version of Rihanna and Calvin Harris‘ “This is What You Came For” during the show, mashing it up with her evermore song “gold rush.”
If you were unaware, Taylor has some history with the song, which went Top 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2016. She actually wrote it under the penname name Nils Sjöberg while dating Calvin.

A video on X (formerly Twitter) captured part of the performance. While singing, Taylor strummed along on her guitar. Fans joined in on the chorus.
This is actually not the first time that Taylor has performed the song during a show.
When it was initially released, no one knew who Nils was. However, it was revealed in a report that it was Taylor that same year.
Calvin cleared the air about her involvement and dragged her in a statement at the time.
“And she sings on a little bit of it too ???? Amazing lyric writer and she smashed it as usual…I wrote the music, produced the song, arranged it and cut the vocals though. And initially she wanted it kept secret, hence the pseudonym.”
“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though,” Calvin continued. “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do.”
After her involvement was revealed, Taylor switched the writing credit to her actual name.
If you missed it, Taylor shared some very big news about the Eras Tour this week. She also performed a very old song live for the first time ever.
