East Bay pets of the week for Dec. 15
Meet Buddy and Ralphie. These two are an adorable bonded duo that want nothing more than to be home (together) for the holidays! Best of friends, they tend to be on the shy side and seek a mellow home where they can come out of their shells and show you what lovable companions they can be! When you adopt these two, please keep them indoors — that will keep them healthy and safe from the dangers the great outdoors can pose to curious cats. Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Meet Diamond, the 2-year-old Siberian Husky with a free spirit, embodying intelligence, independence, confidence and cleverness. She takes pleasure in making her own decisions but remains receptive to your perspective if you make a convincing argument. Consider Diamond as an equal partner in the journey of life and create a happy bond together. Her adoption fee is waived as part of our Cozy Home for the Holidays adoption promotion on select big dogs through Dec. 31! Meet her at East Bay SPCA’s Dublin Adoption Center today. The EBSPCA offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Samantha is a very special young lady. She radiates pure joy. She’s a smiler who seems to revel in life despite living in a shelter. If she were a person, Samantha would be someone who naturally sees the glass as half full. She’s almost 2 years old, quite small for her breed, easy to walk and a lot of fun. She’s fairly high energy, so best for a family without young children. To meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.

Cliff is a sweet, fluffy, tubby kitty looking to waddle into your life. He loves being brushed (even on his tummy) and is a fan of snacks. Cliff enjoys long naps on beds, laps couches … pretty much anywhere. He has lived with other cats and dogs, and has always gotten along well with all housemates. He needs a person he can talk to. For more information about this or any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa SPCA, call Pat at 925-323-0667.
