I’M A Celeb viewers have slammed Ant and Dec for ‘missing’ part of Fred Sirieix post-jungle interview – but did you spot it?
Last night the First Dates star became the third celebrity to be booted out of the jungle.
Fred’s elimination came after Nella Rose and Frankie xx were the first two famous faces to be voted off the the ITV show.
After each celebrity leaves camp, they are greeted by Ant and Dec over the bridge and are quizzed about their time on I’m A Celebrity.
However, viewers watching at home were quick to point out that the Geordie duo failed to ask Fred about his argument with Nella during the first week.
Many took to X to complain.
One questioned: “Why did Ant and Dec not talk to Fred about his run in with Nella? surley that’s something worth asking Fred about????#ImACeleb.”
Another pointed out: “It’s funny during the A&D interview that Fred’s convo with Nigel is mentioned but not his one with Nella…”
“why didn’t Ant n Dec ask Fred about the row with Nella? They asked her last nite,” a third chimed in.
A fourth wrote: “Sorry, but@antanddec totally failing to ask Fred literally anything about Nella really? Instead asking about Nigel bloody Farage, like anyone actually gives a f*** seriously!!!”
A fifth tweeted: “Short interview with Fred. Didn’t mention Nella Last night, long interview with Nella. Asked her about Fred.”
During the first week in camp Nella and Fred had a huge disagreement – which ended in her telling him to stay away from her.
At the beginning of the episode (November 21), Fred tried to offer Nella some breakfast, but she kept ignoring him.
Nella then explained in the Bush Telegraph that she had a conversation the previous night with the TV star about age – which resulted in him saying he could be old enough to be her dad.
Nella’s dad Kamango Paul Hollela tragically passed away in 2020.
She explained to camera: “Last night after dinner Fred made a comment about him basically how he could be my dad.
“I took offence to that because one of the first conversations we had together was me opening up about the fact that my dad’s passed away.
“I didn’t say anything about it last night because I was kind of just annoyed about it.”
She added: “So I slept on it and I kind of thought about it and I was just like, this is not the kind of person I want to be around.”
Fred approached Nella to see what was wrong.
Nella explained: “So yesterday, when I wanted to burn fat that you were going to throw away anyways, it’s not even something that we needed to survive in camp.
“You turned around to me, with an attitude and said, ‘You know I could be your dad, right?’
“To me, I don’t care how you said it to me, it’s disrespectful and I don’t want to talk to you.
“I don’t want to be around you. I only allow people to disrespect me once. You hurt my feelings. I was very upset… you keep trying to speak to me when I don’t want to speak to you.
She added: “I would rather stay away from you, I don’t want to eat your food, I don’t want to talk to you. We can just live, you live on that side, I live on this side.”
Fred apologised for what he had said, but explained that he didn’t mean to offend her.
He replied: “I am so sorry. Can I just say? First of all, I am sorry I’ve offended you. I am unaware that you felt offended.
“I am unaware that what I said would lead to this conversation, I only said that in a way because I am older than you, I am 51 and you’re 26.”
It ended in Nella explaining that she wanted them both to stay away from each other.
But that wasn’t the only time they clashed.
Fred took on the role of camp chef – which ended in a number of disagreements.
Fred was later banished to pot washing duties by camp leader Nella, putting Josie in charge of the cooking duties.
