Over Rs 5 lakh siphoned off from student’s account
Posing as personnel of the Mumbai Police, a cyber crook siphoned off lakhs of rupees from the account of a PhD student of IIT-Kanpur. The victim has lodged a complaint at Kalyanpur police station in this regard. Sanjana Paul, a resident of Ernakulam Kalamassery, Kerala, is pursuing PhD from IIT-Kanpur. She has a savings account in Federal Bank, Kalamassery branch.
