I gave my garden a glow-up using Aldi and B&M bargains – it was so easy & took one afternoon, now it’s summer ready
A DIY pro has revealed how she transformed her garden on a budget using bargains from Aldi and B&M – and people can’t believe what a difference it’s made.
Issy Price shared how she kick-started the glow-up by jetwashing her patio, before painting her shed and adding cut-price soft furnishings to finish the look.

In a new TikTok, she said: “Here is how I gave our patio in the back of our garden a bit of a makeover.
“I started with a good jetwash.
“I decided to paint the shed white and blue, so this is me putting on the first coat. Then that is the second coat which you can see is a lot better.
“Then I went to Homebase and bought some pretty flowers. Took them home.
“Then I started painting the window and doorway blue. I added a bit of white because the blue was really dark.
“Then I drilled some nails into the roof of the shed so we could hang all of our solar paneled lights.”
Shoppers can grab identical outdoor string lights from various retailers, including Amazon, with prices starting at £12.97.
She continued: “Took off the masking tape. Hung up the lights.
“Then I did soft-furnishing decorations. All these cushions are from Aldi, I love them. They’re water resistant.”
These outdoor cushions come in a range of sizes, colours, and patterns, with prices starting at £12.99. `
Issy added: “I got some artificial plants to hang up on the fence.”
“More cushions, and then I added in the flowers that I got from Homebase which are meant to be more blue, but that’s fine.
“I also got some solar-powered lighting from B&M. This was all really cheap, affordable stuff.”
The Solar Powered Wooden Effect Handle Lanterns are available both online and in-store and will set shoppers back just £10.
Finally, Issy added: “And here is the finished product. And for anyone wondering, the rug is from TK Maxx.”
Fans loved her quick and easy transformation, with the video gaining more than 2,900 likes and 106,900 views.
In the comments, TikTok users shared their reactions, with one writing: “Looks amazing! Well done for creating such an inviting space.”
“Love the shed painted in white,” another commented.
A third added: “Love it. You have done a great job. Am inspired to get to work on my garden now!”
