It was reported that Tottenham enquired about Brahim Diaz in the final days of the January window, and they are now set to try again this summer.
This is according to Sports Boom, which reports that Diaz wants to leave the Spanish capital in order to get regular game time elsewhere.
The 26-year-old, who has just one year left on his deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, has attracted the attention of Spurs, who see him as the ‘perfect link-man’ for their high-transition system.
However, Diaz is also on the radar at Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta seeing the attacker as an option to open up low-blocks.
The two North London clubs have emerged as the ‘most serious candidates’ for the Moroccan international, with the Gunners preparing a package worth €35m (£30.3m) plus bonuses to test Madrid’s resolve.
What is Real Madrid’s stance on Diaz?
The interest in Diaz is not restricted to the Lilywhites and Arsenal, with CaughtOffside revealing that Brentford and Crystal Palace have also enquired about his availability.
The outlet claims that the Madrid management are ‘extremely satisfied’ with the versatile attacker and are not prioritising his sale in the summer.
However, Los Blancos may cash in on him to fund moves for other targets if the Moroccan expresses a desire to leave. The La Liga giants are expected to demand around €40–€45m (£34.7m – £39m) for the former Manchester City man.
