Fixtures
- Aberdeen Women Vs. Hibernian Women - Sun, Feb 22 2026, 13:00
THE LOWDOWN
Joelle Murray’s side are seeking a third consecutive league win this weekend following victories over Motherwell and Hamilton Academical across the last month.
Last time out – against Motherwell – at Meadowbank, Kirsty Morrison and Kathleen McGovern were amongst the goals as we secured a 2-0 win on home turf.
Morrison rounded the visitors’ keeper before slotting into an empty net for the first, before teeing up McGovern for the second – with the forward slamming home from inside the area to seal all three points.
We are currently fifth in the SPWPL standings on 31 points, with our place in the top six already well sealed heading into our final pre-match split.
THE HOSTS
Aberdeen are currently second-bottom of the league table heading into the final match of the regular season.
Scott Booth’s outfit have accrued 11 points across 17 games – sitting joint-level on points with Motherwell – as the race to escape the relegation play-off spot remains exceptionally tight.
Our upcoming hosts crucially beat Motherwell in January, but were then held by bottom club Hamilton and thrashed 6-0 by Hearts to make for a disappointing start to February for the Reds.
We last faced Aberdeen on the opening day of the 2025/26 season, picking up a 5-1 win at Meadowbank – with Rosie Livingstone and Kathleen McGovern both grabbing braces either side of the interval.
Our last visit to Balmoral Stadium came all the way back in November 2024 at a key point during our title-winning campaign.
We went behind early on before Kirsten Reilly’s equaliser, an own goal, Eilidh Adams’ brace, and Kathleen McGovern’s late hat-trick helped the Hibees to a resounding 7-1 away win.
