Fort Edward man sentenced for rape
BALLSTON SPA, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Fort Edward man was sentenced on Monday for raping a woman at Lamplighter Acres. Alim Mohammed, 34, faces eight and a half years in a state correctional facility for two counts of second-degree rape.
Mohammed pleaded guilty to these charges in April. Mohammed confessed through his guilty plea to forcing sexual contact and acting dangerously to the physical, mental, or moral welfare of a child under the age of 17.
He will also face 10 years of post-release supervision.
