Qatar condemns Iranian Missile attack on Al Adeid Base
Qatar strongly condemns Iran’s missile attack on Al Udeid Base, calling it a dangerous breach of its airspace and promising a firm, lawful response.
Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari has condemned the Iranian missile attack on Al Udeid airbase, calling it a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace.
Al-Ansari stated that Qatar reserves the right to respond proportionally under international law. He assured that Qatar’s air defenses successfully intercepted all incoming missiles during the attack.
According to CNN, Al-Ansari also confirmed that Qatar would take appropriate measures to protect its national interests in the face of any future aggression.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps previously announced that the strikes were retaliation for U.S. attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. Iran named this operation “Beshrat Fath,” describing it as powerful and destructive.
The Al Udeid base, hosting U.S. Central Command, is one of the most strategically important military installations in the region and remains a vital center for American operations.
Experts warn that this escalation could worsen regional instability and further complicate diplomatic efforts in the Gulf.
The international community is closely monitoring the situation, urging both sides to exercise restraint and pursue diplomatic channels to de-escalate tensions.
