Schoharie Co. man accused of child sex abuse in Kinderhook
KINDERHOOK, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- An Esperance man was charged in connection to a child sex abuse investigation in Columbia County. According to New York State Police, Louis Dinino, 28, faces multiple charges.
According to troopers, a child sex abuse investigation began in April 2025, after Child Protective Services contacted state police about statements made by the victim. The victim alleged that Dinino engaged in sexual contact with them.
An investigation determined the reported sexual abuse happened at Dinino's girlfriend's house in Kinderhook. Troopers said the victim was under the age of 13.
Dinino was charged with first degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
After his arrest on Thursday, he was arraigned in Greenport Town Court and remanded to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail, $25,000 secured bond or a $50,000 partially secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in Kinderhook Town Court on Tuesday, June 24 at 5 p.m.
