Over 200 killed in Israel strikes on Gaza Aid Lines
More than 200 civilians were killed in Gaza as Israeli strikes targeted crowds waiting for humanitarian aid, worsening the humanitarian crisis.
Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that at least 202 people have been killed and over 1,000 wounded in Israeli attacks in the past 48 hours.
Among the casualties were 26 Palestinians shot dead on Saturday while waiting at food distribution centers.
According to the Health Ministry, the total number of people killed in Gaza since the war began has reached 55,908, with more than 138,131 injured.
Aid organizations say strikes on food distribution points have become common, putting civilians at even greater risk.
Omar al-Habi, a displaced resident of Khan Yunis, told Al Jazeera that visiting these centers feels like “stepping into death,” as snipers and drones wait overhead.
Israel claims its attacks on these sites aim to control crowds, but humanitarian groups and eyewitnesses report most of the shootings are unprovoked.
The Red Cross noted that the majority of wounded civilians were hit while seeking aid or standing near distribution points.
As casualties rise and aid becomes harder to access, humanitarian organizations continue to warn of a deepening crisis across Gaza.
