Lawrence police search for suspect who stabbed elderly woman

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Lawrence Police Department is attempting to locate the person who stabbed an elderly woman.
Lawrence police officers responded just before 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, to the 700 block of Beatnik Court, near E. 19th Street, where they found the victim inside a home with life-threatening injuries.
Police said the victim was alone and not able to provide significant details.
The victim was taken to an area trauma center, accompanied by an officer.
Lawrence police said they have no suspect information at this time.
