AND Just Like That viewers were totally stunned when Miranda was seen romping with a virgin nun in a racy sex scene.
The sequel series to Sex and the City, that focuses on Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York as they navigate life in their 50s, returned to screens on Thursday night.
But despite fans fuming over one specific character and being cringed out over a phone sex scene, there was another moment that stunned fans of the show.
Miranda Hobbes, played by Cynthia Nixon, was seen having sex with a virgin nun played by Rosie O’Donnell.
Rosie is known as a talk show host, comedian, and actress.
She began her comedy career as a teenager and received her breakthrough on the television series Star Search in 1984.
In the new AJLT episode, which was titled Outlook Good, Rosie, 63, played the role of a virgin nun named Mary.
The two hit it off while drinking in a bar, with the virgin nun flirting with Miranda.
“You are so pretty,” Mary said to Miranda.
The nun was brazen and quickly said that she had a “hotel room” before they both headed back there together.
Enjoying a passionate night together, the morning after Mary made a confession.
She revealed the truth to Miranda, which left her utterly stunned.
Mary revealed that Miranda had in fact taken her virginity.
DIVIDED FAN REACTION
Viewers were completely divided by the raunchy scene and storyline.
“Miranda taking a nun’s virginity is such a Samantha storyline,” said one person, referencing the beloved Sex and the City character who does not feature fully in AJLT.
Another was stunned and simply said: “The concept of miranda deflowering a nun.”
“I can’t stand Miranda now. The whole virgin nun scene was stupid,” slammed a third.
A fourth then wrote: “What a disaster of an episode lmao, BUT the Miranda and the lesbian nun subplot was decent writing because it actually propelled her forward and made her reflect on her queer awakening.”
While a fifth said: “Where are we going with this Miranda deflowered a nun storyline?”
And a sixth penned: “Miranda hooks up with a virgin nun? This is the kind of shenanigans we would get on the old show. Maybe there’s hope for this season. lol.”

This came as Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw were embroiled in a phone sex scene.
Before the new series got underway, Carrie and Aidan embarked on a five-year break.
But despite Aidan not being in New York, he did return to screens – and made his way back into Carrie’s life, too.
Calling Carrie from his Virginia home, the pair could be seen having a rather steamy conversation that turned into phone sex – a scene many people thought was “cringe”.
Reacting to the phone sex scene, one person penned on X: “Who THE F**K thought this phone sex scene was the thing to do…”
Another added: “I ache for you – followed by the worst phone sex scene I’ve ever heard. I’m gonna vomit now.”
And a third said: “Please no more phone sex scenes.”
